Delaware Gold Alert: Missing Claymont Man Last Seen in Wilmington

Wilmington, DE – Delaware State Police have issued a Gold Alert for a missing 52-year-old Claymont man and are asking the public to help locate him.

According to the Delaware State Police, Jay Lee, 52, of Claymont, was last seen at approximately 4:15 p.m. Thursday, July 16, in the 1300 block of East 12th Street in Wilmington. Authorities said all attempts to contact or locate Lee have been unsuccessful, and there is concern for his safety and well-being.

Police described Lee as approximately 6 feet 8 inches tall, weighing about 300 pounds, with blue eyes and brown hair. He was last seen wearing dark-colored clothing.

According to investigators, Lee is believed to be driving a gray Kia Sportage. Police also said his possible destination may be Woodland Beach near Smyrna, Delaware.

The Delaware State Police have not released additional information about the circumstances surrounding Lee’s disappearance.
