Portage, MI — A woman was found dead in a vacant office building on Admiral Avenue, prompting an investigation by local authorities. Police were called to the property at approximately 3:45 p.m. Monday for a routine check and discovered the body in an unsecured vestibule.
According to the Portage Department of Public Safety, detectives and crime lab experts were dispatched to the scene to investigate the circumstances of her death. The woman’s identity and cause of death will be determined following an autopsy by the Kalamazoo County Medical Examiner’s Office.
