Davenport Teen Arrested for Firearm Possession at North High School

Davenport, IA – A 16-year-old male student was arrested Wednesday after being found with a firearm at Davenport North High School.

School Resource Officers received information about a student possibly carrying a firearm inside the school. The student was immediately removed from class to meet with the officer, who discovered the weapon in the student’s possession.

According to the Davenport Police Department, the situation was handled swiftly, maintaining a safe learning environment. No threats were made, and the school day proceeded without disruption or lockdown.

Police charged the student with carrying weapons on school grounds. Officers worked closely with Davenport Community School District leaders to ensure student and staff safety.
