Fitchburg, WI – A third suspect has been charged in connection with a December 2025 homicide that left a 16-year-old dead in Fitchburg, as authorities continue to close out a months-long investigation.
According to the Fitchburg Police Department, 17-year-old Terryoine Holloway of Fitchburg was charged by the Dane County District Attorney’s Office with felony murder, attempted armed robbery, party to a crime, and possession of a firearm as an adjudicated delinquent. Police say Holloway allegedly cut off his court-ordered GPS monitor on March 29, 2026, fled the area, and was later located in Chicago, where he was taken into custody.
The charges stem from a December 23, 2025, shooting in the 2700 block of Pheasant Ridge Trail. Officers responded around 8:46 p.m. and found a 16-year-old suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators say the incident began as a planned armed robbery. According to police, Devon Mason, 19, and two juveniles allegedly arranged to meet a drug seller in a parking lot on Deer Valley Road. During the encounter, one of the juveniles allegedly pointed a firearm at the seller and demanded property. The situation escalated when the seller resisted, leading to gunfire that struck the juvenile victim.
Authorities say Holloway and Mason allegedly provided the firearm used in the attempted robbery. Both suspects were later seen on surveillance footage leaving the scene.
Mason was previously charged on March 17, 2026, while the unnamed juvenile suspect was arrested in Chicago on January 22, 2026.
The case has now been forwarded to the Dane County District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
