Dallas, TX – North Texans can expect unsettled weather this week as storms move through the region starting Monday morning. Light hail may hit the Dallas-Fort Worth area early Monday, while East Texas could experience larger hailstones—up to 1 inch—later in the day.
The National Weather Service reported a cold front driving rain chances through Wednesday. While severe weather is not expected, storms will bring scattered showers and isolated hail. Highs Monday and Tuesday will stay in the 60s and 70s before temperatures drop behind the cold front.
Wednesday brings continued rain with a chance of storms before cooler air settles into the area. By Thursday morning, freezing temperatures could occur across portions of North Texas. Rainfall totals are expected to remain modest, ranging from 0.5 inches near I-35 to an inch further east.
Drivers are encouraged to stay cautious during heavy rain periods, particularly during Monday morning commutes. Residents should also secure outdoor items ahead of any hail risk.
