Corpus Christi, Texas – Sunny skies, dry conditions, and a steady warming trend are expected across the Coastal Bend and South Texas through the weekend and into early next week, creating favorable conditions for travel and outdoor activities.

According to the National Weather Service in Corpus Christi, today will remain sunny and pleasant, with high temperatures ranging from the mid-60s to low 70s under light and variable winds. After one more cool night tonight, with lows dipping into the mid-30s to upper 40s, a shift in wind direction will bring warmer air back into the region.

Southerly flow is expected to return by Friday afternoon, allowing temperatures to climb steadily through the weekend. Forecast highs are expected to range from 72 to 78 degrees Friday, warming into the low to mid-80s Saturday through Tuesday. Overnight lows will also trend warmer, rising from the 40s Friday morning to the upper 50s and low 60s by early next week.

The warming trend will be noticeable along major travel corridors including I-37, US-77, US-181, TX-35, and TX-361, where dry roads and clear conditions should support smooth travel. No widespread rain is expected through at least early next week, and forecasters note that rain-free conditions may persist beyond that timeframe.

Coastal areas, including Rockport, Port Aransas, and Port Lavaca, can expect continued dry weather with moderate daytime warmth and cooler evenings. Light breezes are forecast, limiting marine and coastal impacts for most of the period.

While no hazardous weather is expected, residents are advised to remain mindful of cool overnight temperatures in inland areas before the warmer pattern fully settles in. Overall, the National Weather Service describes the upcoming stretch as seasonably mild and stable for South Texas.
