Coos County, OR Man Arrested for Violating Stalking Order

Coos County, Oregon – A 69-year-old man was arrested Tuesday after deputies responded to a reported violation of a stalking order in Coos County.

According to the Coos County Sheriff’s Office, Sgt. J. Boswell responded at about 1:13 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, to a residence in the 9000 block of Cape Arago Highway regarding an actively violated stalking order.

Authorities said Valerio Sandoval, 69, was contacted at the location and found to be in violation of the court-issued order. He was taken into custody and transported to the Coos County Jail on a charge of violation of a stalking order.

Further details about the underlying circumstances of the alleged violation were not immediately released.

The sheriff’s office noted that police action is not indicative of guilt and that all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The afternoon arrest drew law enforcement presence to the residential area along Cape Arago Highway.
