Omaha, NE — Rain and thunderstorms are set to move across much of central Nebraska, extending into the eastern portion of the state, providing much-needed moisture and cooler temperatures. The National Weather Service (NWS) in Omaha/Valley issued the forecast Sunday morning, advising residents to prepare for scattered showers and possible storms that could help alleviate the recent dry conditions.
According to the NWS, rain chances will increase Sunday, with high temperatures expected to range from 78 to 81 degrees. The rain is anticipated to continue into Monday, when temperatures may rise slightly, reaching between 81 and 85 degrees. The cool and wet conditions are forecast to persist through Tuesday, with highs between 78 and 83 degrees.
By midweek, the weather is expected to warm up as rain chances diminish. Wednesday’s forecast suggests sunnier skies and temperatures climbing to 82-89 degrees. The NWS noted that this change marks the beginning of a warming trend for the latter half of the week.
