Chicago, IL – A former suburban Chicago police officer has been convicted on federal corruption charges after a jury found he conspired to steal cash and drugs from motorists during traffic stops, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Illinois.

Prosecutors said Antoine Larry, 49, of Bolingbrook, served as a patrol officer for the Phoenix, Illinois Police Department when he and another officer, Jarrett Snowden of Lansing, allegedly solicited bribes and stole from vehicle occupants between 2020 and 2022. The pair falsified police reports to conceal their actions, federal authorities said.

After a two-week trial in U.S. District Court in Chicago, Larry was found guilty Friday on four counts, including conspiracy, extortion, and attempted extortion. The extortion-related counts each carry a maximum sentence of 20 years in federal prison, while the conspiracy charge carries up to five years.

U.S. District Judge John F. Kness scheduled sentencing for April 22, 2026. Snowden, who previously pleaded guilty to conspiracy, is awaiting sentencing.

The convictions were announced by U.S. Attorney Andrew S. Boutros and FBI Chicago Field Office Special Agent-in-Charge Douglas S. DePodesta. The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Alexandra Morgan, Ramon Villalpando, and Prashant Kolluri.
