Litchfield County, CT – A winter weather advisory remains in effect for Litchfield County, Connecticut, and parts of New York’s Dutchess and Ulster Counties through 11 a.m. Monday. Residents can expect up to one inch of snow and a light glaze of ice.

According to the National Weather Service, mixed precipitation will begin early Monday morning, with freezing rain likely impacting roads, bridges, and overpasses. By late morning, rising temperatures are expected to transition the wintry mix to rain, improving travel conditions.

In New York, Dutchess and Ulster Counties are forecast to experience similar precipitation, with snow totals reaching up to one inch and icy accumulations creating hazardous travel conditions. The advisory is part of a larger storm system also impacting parts of Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia.
