Grand Junction, CO – A winter weather advisory remains in effect until midnight Tuesday for the Roan and Tavaputs Plateaus, where up to 7 inches of snow and 45 mph wind gusts are expected.

According to the National Weather Service in Grand Junction, snow and blowing snow will create hazardous travel conditions, with visibility dropping below half a mile at times. Roads will be icy and snow-packed, making travel dangerous across the region, including in Rio Blanco County.

Officials urge drivers to slow down and use caution. High winds will contribute to blowing and drifting snow, further complicating road conditions.

The advisory remains active until 12 a.m. MDT, and travelers can check the latest road conditions by calling 511.
