Denver, CO – Warmer temperatures are expected across Colorado today, with areas of smoke persisting throughout the region. According to the US National Weather Service Denver/Boulder, temperatures will range from the 60s to the 90s depending on the area. The Mountains and Foothills will see highs in the 60s and 70s, while the Palmer Divide will reach the 80s. The Urban Corridor and Plains are expected to hit the 90s.

The forecast also predicts scattered afternoon showers and storms, particularly over the higher elevations. Smoke is expected to persist across all regions, affecting air quality. The air quality index in Denver stands at 94, which is considered moderate but similar to the previous day. Residents are advised to limit prolonged outdoor exertion, especially in areas where smoke is thickest.

Looking ahead, temperatures are expected to continue rising throughout the week. Thursday could see highs near 98 degrees, with Friday slightly cooler at 92 degrees. The weekend forecast shows a return to the mid-90s with sunny skies, and temperatures may reach up to 101 degrees by early next week.
