Denver, CO – The National Weather Service in Denver/Boulder forecasts showers and storms to redevelop today, likely earlier than usual. Greatest coverage is expected along and south of I-70, with much drier conditions farther north. Locally heavy rain and minor flooding are possible in the southern half of the forecast area. According to the weather service, storms may begin as early as mid-morning, with the heaviest rainfall likely occurring late morning or near midday.

Temperatures today will reach a high of 76°F with scattered showers and storms expected through mid-afternoon. The forecast highlights a 50% chance of precipitation throughout the day. Rainfall could result in flash flooding in low-lying areas and near streams. Motorists are advised to exercise caution, especially in regions prone to flooding.

The outlook for the rest of the week indicates improving conditions. Monday will see a significant warm-up with sunny skies and a high of 84°F. Tuesday follows with even higher temperatures, reaching 88°F under clear skies. By Wednesday, temperatures are forecasted to climb to a scorching 93°F. Thursday will be the hottest day of the week, with highs near 96°F. Cooler temperatures return on Friday, with a high of 91°F.
