Clinton County, MI – A large sinkhole caused by rising water has forced the closure of Grange Road south of Taft Road in Clinton County. The road, which runs over Kloeckner and Fuller Creek, was severely damaged, with a portion of the asphalt collapsing into the ground.

According to the Clinton County Authorities, the area was deemed unsafe, and authorities have placed road barriers to prevent traffic from passing. The commission has urged drivers to seek an alternate route to avoid the dangerous section of road. The public was reminded not to underestimate the power of water, which is believed to have contributed to the collapse.

Local authorities continue to monitor the situation, and road crews are working to assess the damage and implement necessary repairs. Drivers are advised to follow posted detour signs and remain cautious in the area.
