Charleston, WV – After a cool start to Sunday, Charleston residents can expect sunny skies and gradually warming temperatures through the week. Today will remain clear with highs in the upper 60s to mid-70s in the lowlands and cooler temperatures in the mountains, reaching the mid-50s. Evening lows will drop into the 40s.
According to the National Weather Service, a warming trend will kick off on Monday, bringing highs into the upper 70s. By Tuesday and Wednesday, temperatures will climb to the low 80s in the lowlands and mid-70s in the mountains, creating ideal conditions for outdoor activities.
Though daytime temperatures will rise, cooler nights are expected throughout the week. Overnight lows could slip into the low 40s, especially in higher elevations. Patchy frost may return to the northeastern mountains overnight into Monday morning.
With dry conditions and pleasant weather forecasted, it’s a great opportunity for Charleston residents to tackle outdoor projects or enjoy some fresh air. Expect clear skies to dominate the early part of the week, with Thursday bringing the next chance of cloud cover.
