Chicago, IL – Residents should prepare for a weekend of changing weather conditions as a cold front brings showers, gusty winds, and cooler temperatures to the region.
According to the National Weather Service Chicago, showers and widely scattered storms are expected Friday night into early Saturday morning. Winds will be breezy in the morning, with temperatures reaching 35-48 degrees. Lows will dip to around 29-36 degrees overnight.
On Sunday, another cold front will push through, bringing more showers and the potential for some wet snow near the Wisconsin state line. Temperatures will range from 49-56 degrees, with overnight lows of 29-36 degrees. Winds are expected to be breezy throughout the day.
By Monday, the weather will take a blustery turn, with high temperatures dropping to 44-51 degrees and lows falling to 27-33 degrees. Wind gusts could contribute to an overall chilly start to the workweek.
Tuesday’s forecast shows a slight chance of lingering showers, with daytime highs between 46-54 degrees and overnight temperatures between 30-35 degrees. Conditions will remain cool as the cold front moves out of the area.
