Peotone, IL – U.S. Marshals arrested a Chicago man tied to multiple burglaries in Peotone, New Lenox, and other Illinois cities.
Authorities took 26-year-old Terrell L. Ferrell into custody on Thursday at a Days Inn in Calumet Park. Police linked him to a January 4 burglary at the Peotone Travel Center, where masked suspects stole a lottery ticket display. The group fled in a Lincoln SUV.
Investigators later connected Ferrell to similar thefts in Chicago, Matteson, and New Lenox. The suspects used rented vehicles, leading police to identify them. Surveillance footage confirmed Ferrell cashed stolen lottery tickets at several locations.
Police obtained an arrest warrant on January 30. U.S. Marshals located Ferrell six days later and transported him to New Lenox. He faces burglary, robbery, and theft charges and remains in custody at Will County Adult Detention Facility.
Authorities continue investigating and expect further updates.
