KANKAKEE — A 37-year-old Chicago Heights man was discovered with gunshot wounds Wednesday morning inside a Kankakee apartment building on the 100 block of North Rosewood.
The shots, police say, were fired in the building’s stairwell. The victim was quickly taken to the hospital, but his current condition remains undisclosed.
The search for the assailant continues, urging residents to exercise caution.
