Chicago, IL – The Chicago area is bracing for a windy start today, with gusts reaching up to 40 mph from the west-northwest. The National Weather Service warns that these conditions could lead to hazardous swimming along the Porter County shore. Residents are advised to stay dry and cautious when waves are high.

According to the National Weather Service, a few showers are possible on Saturday with a 20% chance of thunderstorms. Temperatures will range from 70-76°F. Sunday will see partly cloudy skies with highs between 75-79°F.

The forecast for Monday predicts cooler weather, with temperatures dipping to 68-73°F. Inland areas will remain mostly dry, while onshore flow will keep temperatures in the 60s near the lakeshore. The weather will remain mild on Tuesday, with highs between 71-77°F and lows in the mid-50s.

For the weekend, residents should be prepared for possible rain on Saturday, but can expect clearer skies on Sunday. The early part of next week will bring cooler temperatures, particularly near Lake Michigan.
