BOURBONNAIS – During Monday night’s village board meeting in Bourbonnais, Mayor Paul Schore thanked supporters of the recent Chicago Bears banners sale, which raised over $4,700 for the Bourbonnais Grove Historical Society.

“Thank you to everyone who purchased Chicago Bears training banners today,” Mayor Schore said Monday night. “Due to popular demand, 150 banners were sold out this morning in 22 minutes. We appreciate everybody’s support. The donations which total over $4,700 are going to Bourbonnais Grove Historical Society for thee restoration project of the schoolhouse. We keep getting closer and closer. Get that project done.”

The Mayor added that a silent auction for additional Bears memorabilia may be happening soon.

“If you were unable to purchase a banner, we have run across a few more items. Information will be going out on social media and the village website and I believe we may be having an auction, a silent auction on that. There still may be a chance to get some Bears memorabilia.” Schore said.

Be sure to follow the Village of Bourbonnais on Facebook which will have more information soon.
