Chicago Bears Training Camp banners used throughout the Village of Bourbonnais during the annual camp since 2002 will be available for purchase soon. The flags previously lined roads in Bourbonnais welcoming visitors to Training Camp and were seen on Rt 102, S Main St, William R Latham Senior Dr, and N Convent St.

“Bears banners are going to start for sale, Monday, August 17th.  Not before.  Don’t come in next week. They will not start until August 17th.” Mayor Paul Schore assured Monday night during a Village Board meeting.

The Village of Bourbonnais announced the banners sale would go towards benefiting the restore school project. “All proceeds are going to help fund the 1837 log schoolhouse restoration.” Mayor Schore said. The schoolhouse was first discovered in 2011, when the village was demolishing a home and found the log cabin structure underneath.

The Bears announced in early January they would move training camp operations to Halas Hall in Lake Forest after nearly two decades in Bourbonnais. The team’s first Training Camp in Bourbonnais was in summer 2002.

Vinyl flags will be $15 with newer cloth flags costing $30 a piece.  Limit three per household.
