Chesterton, IN – Three businesses were targeted over the weekend in attempted robberies, as per local authorities.
Nature’s Cupboard, situated at 757 Indian Boundary Road, Aqua Spa Nail Salon at 761 Indian Boundary Road, and Pro Nails at 709 Plaza Drive, were all subjected to break-in attempts.
Early Saturday morning, the Chesterton Police Department responded to reports of glass breakage at these locations. While entry was made into Nature’s Cupboard, only an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency was taken. Pro Nails was also breached, but nothing was reported missing. Aqua Spa Nail Salon sustained damage, but no entry was gained.
Detectives are currently reviewing surveillance footage, with particular focus on a pickup truck captured nearby. Individuals with any information are urged to contact Det. Cpl. Chris Schoof at 219-926-1136. An investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
