Jamestown, NY – A months-long narcotics investigation in Jamestown led to an early-morning arrest Thursday after authorities executed a search warrant and seized drugs and cash from a city residence.

According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, narcotics investigators, along with officers from the Jamestown Police Department, executed a search warrant at 12 E. Hamilton St. at approximately 6:03 a.m. Thursday, January 8.

Just prior to the search, investigators observed Bryan Torres allegedly leaving the residence. Authorities stopped Torres on West 5th Street, where he was detained while the warrant was carried out at the home.

During the search, investigators reportedly seized 11.4 grams of cocaine, along with scales and packaging materials allegedly used for the sale and distribution of narcotics. Authorities also recovered $2,327 in cash, according to the sheriff’s office.

Torres was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree and Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the Second Degree. He was transported to the Jamestown Police Department and is expected to be arraigned in Jamestown City Court.

Officials emphasized that the investigation involved cooperation between county and city law enforcement and followed several months of suspected narcotics activity in the area.
