Channahon, IL – The Forest Preserve District of Will County has unveiled a new kayak rental station at Lake Chaminwood Preserve, just in time for the Labor Day weekend. The Rent.Fun station, which debuted on Friday, features eight kayak lockers near the launch area, offering a convenient rental option for visitors.
According to Jenna Wright, the Forest Preserve’s permitting and recreation supervisor, users can rent a kayak by downloading the Rent.Fun app, signing up, and following the prompts. The station, operational from April 1 through October 31, complements recent renovations at the preserve, including an accessible kayak launch and extended trails.
