Champaign, IL – Police are investigating a bank robbery that occurred Saturday morning on the 2000 block of W. Springfield Avenue. The suspect entered the bank at 9:09 a.m., demanded money, implied having a firearm, and threatened staff before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of cash.
According to Champaign Police, no injuries were reported, and there is no evidence a firearm was displayed or discharged. Officers are canvassing the area for witnesses and video footage. Residents and businesses with surveillance systems are urged to contact the police.
