According to the US National Weather Service Green Bay, a warm and unstable air mass will persist through much of the week, bringing the potential for thunderstorms. On Tuesday, afternoon storms are possible in the far north, while scattered thunderstorms are anticipated on Wednesday and Thursday, with temperatures ranging from the low 70s to mid-80s.
The weather service warns that some storms could produce torrential rainfall, potentially leading to urban street flooding, ponding of water on roads, and rapid rises in river and creek levels. Residents are urged to take precautions during the heat wave by limiting time outdoors, drinking plenty of water, wearing lightweight and loose clothing, and taking extra measures to protect children, the elderly, and pets.
