State College, PA – The remnants of Tropical Storm Debby are expected to bring significant rainfall to Pennsylvania, with the heaviest impact predicted through Friday. The storm system is moving northward along the eastern U.S., posing a major flood risk for two-thirds of the Commonwealth.

According to the U.S. National Weather Service in State College, PA, rainfall totals could reach up to 3.9 inches in some areas, with the eastern and central regions of the state expected to bear the brunt of the storm. The rainfall is forecasted to be most intense between Wednesday and Friday, with a 100% chance of precipitation on Wednesday, 65% on Thursday, and 85% on Friday.

Residents in flood-prone areas are urged to take precautions, as the accumulated rainfall could lead to significant flooding. The weather is expected to clear by the weekend, with temperatures rising into the mid-70s under mostly sunny skies. However, until then, the threat of heavy rain remains high, and local authorities are advising everyone to stay informed and prepared.
