Boston, MA – Snow and icy conditions are expected to disrupt travel across parts of Massachusetts starting Monday evening.

The National Weather Service issued a Winter Weather Advisory, effective from 3 p.m. Monday to 10 a.m. Tuesday. Forecasters predict up to 1 inch of snow and light ice accumulations, primarily in Western Franklin, Northern Worcester, Western Hampshire, and Northern Middlesex counties.

According to the advisory, slippery road conditions could impact both the Monday evening and Tuesday morning commutes. Motorists traveling on routes such as I-91 and Route 2 should use caution, slow down, and allow extra time.

Tuesday will bring clearing skies by mid-morning, but temperatures will hover near freezing, keeping untreated surfaces slick. Beyond Tuesday, the forecast shows dry conditions through Thursday, with another chance for snow showers Friday night into Saturday.

Residents should stay updated on the latest weather alerts and plan accordingly for potentially hazardous travel conditions tonight and tomorrow.
