Central Illinois – A large high-pressure system will dominate the weather in Central Illinois for the next several days, bringing low humidity, light winds, and slightly below-normal temperatures. Residents can look forward to pleasant conditions through the weekend, with daytime highs ranging from the upper 70s to mid-80s.

According to the US National Weather Service Central Illinois, the high-pressure system will keep the region dry and stable. Tonight, temperatures will drop to a comfortable 53-57 degrees. Friday will see highs between 79-82 degrees with partly cloudy skies, making for a pleasant start to the weekend.

The mild trend continues into Saturday and Sunday, with daytime highs reaching 80-85 degrees. Skies will remain mostly clear with occasional clouds, providing perfect conditions for outdoor activities. The forecast indicates no significant precipitation, ensuring dry conditions throughout the weekend.

Champaign residents will experience a similar pattern, with temperatures rising from a cool 60 degrees in the early morning to a high of 77 degrees by afternoon. The rest of the week will see gradual warming, with highs peaking at 83 degrees by midweek.
