According to the US National Weather Service Central Illinois, today will remain dry with less humid conditions and temperatures between 80-86°F. However, showers and thunderstorms will begin to increase from the west on Friday, particularly west of I-55. Friday’s highs will range from 80-87°F, with rain chances peaking Friday night.
Widespread severe weather is not anticipated, but a few storms could reach locally severe levels, bringing heavy rain and strong winds. The unsettled weather will continue into Saturday, with temperatures rising to 86-91°F.
The forecast improves by Sunday, with cooler and less humid conditions expected. Temperatures will range from 77-83°F, and the clear weather will persist into the next week.
