Champaign, IL – Fall-like weather this weekend will give way to a warming trend across Central Illinois, with temperatures expected to soar into the lower 90s by midweek. Today’s highs remain in the low 70s, but sunny skies and increasing warmth will set the stage for much higher temperatures.
According to the National Weather Service, Monday’s high will reach up to 82 degrees, while Tuesday will see highs between 81-87 degrees. By Wednesday, temperatures will climb to 91 degrees. Despite these higher temperatures, humidity levels are forecast to stay lower than during summer, making the heat more bearable.
Overnight lows will remain cool, with temperatures dipping into the mid-40s tonight and the low 50s by Tuesday night. No rain is expected in the forecast, so residents can expect continued clear skies and plenty of sunshine for the next five days.
