Greenville, SC – Bitterly cold temperatures and snow showers will continue through Friday morning, bringing hazardous conditions across the North Carolina Piedmont and Tennessee border regions.
The National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg warns that gusty winds will create wind chills as low as -5 to -15 degrees in the mountains Thursday night. Snow showers will persist into Friday, impacting morning travel.
Residents are advised to limit time outdoors and dress in layers, as frostbite can occur quickly in extreme cold. Wind chills will remain dangerous until Friday morning before temperatures begin to slowly recover over the weekend.
