San Diego, CA – Dense Fog Reduces Visibility for Morning Commute, Warmer Weather Expected This Weekend

Drivers in San Diego and Orange County woke up to dense fog Thursday morning, with visibility dropping to a quarter-mile or less. The National Weather Service issued a Dense Fog Advisory until 7 a.m., warning of hazardous driving conditions along Interstate 5 and coastal routes.

According to the National Weather Service, the fog is expected to lift by mid-morning, giving way to mostly sunny skies with a high of 86°F in San Diego. Patchy fog will return Thursday night, with temperatures dropping to the low 50s.

Friday: Morning fog will clear, leaving sunny skies and highs in the upper 60s.

Friday Night: A 30% chance of showers moves in after 4 a.m., with lows near 51°F.

Saturday: Rain chances increase to 40%, with a mix of sun and clouds later in the day.

Sunday: Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of showers and highs in the low 60s.

Early next week, San Diego could see more cloud cover and light rain showers, with temperatures remaining mild. As February comes to a close, residents can expect a transition into spring with fluctuating conditions.
