Sacramento, CA – Northern California residents should prepare for changing weather this weekend as rain, thunderstorms, and fog are set to impact travel and outdoor plans. Sacramento will see mostly clear skies Friday before showers move in Saturday night, while Eureka faces rain and fog throughout the weekend.

According to the National Weather Service, Sacramento will enjoy warm, sunny conditions on Friday and Saturday, with highs reaching 75°F and 70°F, respectively. However, by Saturday night, there’s a 30% chance of showers after 10 p.m., leading into a wet Sunday. Rain is likely throughout Sunday, with a chance of thunderstorms after 4 p.m. Temperatures will drop to a high of 59°F.

In Eureka, patchy fog will start the day Friday, giving way to sunshine and a high of 60°F. By Saturday, a 40% chance of showers develops after 10 a.m., increasing to 80% by the evening. Heavy rain and gusty winds are expected on Sunday, with precipitation chances at 90%.

Monday will bring lingering showers to both cities before drier conditions return Tuesday. Travelers should watch for slick roads and reduced visibility, especially along I-5 and Highway 101. Keep an eye on forecasts and prepare for wet conditions throughout the weekend.
