Oregon – A wet and foggy weekend is in store for much of the state, with rain showers and patchy fog expected from Saturday through early next week. Travelers should be prepared for reduced visibility, especially in the mornings and evenings.

According to the National Weather Service, rain is expected to begin Saturday evening in Medford and Eugene, with an 80% chance of precipitation by Sunday. Pendleton will see milder conditions, but a slight chance of rain remains throughout the weekend. Morning fog is also a concern, particularly in southern Oregon.

Saturday’s forecast shows highs in the low 60s across the state, with overnight temperatures dipping into the upper 30s and low 40s. Winds will remain calm, but visibility may be significantly reduced in fog-prone areas.

By Sunday, rain will be widespread, with heavier showers possible in Medford and Eugene before tapering off Monday evening. Travelers along I-5 and local highways should exercise caution due to slick roads and foggy conditions.

The wet pattern continues into next week, with more rain expected on Tuesday and Wednesday. Snow levels will remain high, but mountain travelers should watch for changing conditions.

Residents are advised to allow extra travel time, use headlights in fog, and check local forecasts for updates.
