Los Angeles, CA – Southern California is in for a week of shifting weather, with dense fog, rain, and cooler temperatures in the forecast. A Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until 10 a.m. Monday, reducing visibility to less than a quarter-mile in some areas.
According to the National Weather Service, the advisory affects Los Angeles, Ventura, Santa Barbara, and San Luis Obispo counties. Drivers should use caution, reduce speed, and keep headlights on in foggy conditions.
After the fog clears, Los Angeles will see increasing clouds Monday night ahead of rain chances Tuesday. A storm system will bring rain Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday, with an 80% chance of precipitation. Highs will drop from 72°F Monday to the low 60s midweek.
The South Coast AQMD has also issued a Mandatory Wood-Burning Ban through Monday to combat poor air quality. Residents should avoid burning wood, pellets, or manufactured logs.
Expect rain and cloudy skies through Thursday, with another system possibly arriving by the weekend. Stay updated with local forecasts and drive safely in foggy conditions.
