Fresno County, CA – A traffic stop on Interstate 5 in Fresno County led to the seizure of 11 pounds of fentanyl, hidden in meat packages. California Highway Patrol officers, with the help of a K9 unit, discovered the fentanyl, estimated to be worth $500,000.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the driver, a 30-year-old man from Washington state, was arrested. He faces multiple felony charges, including possession of fentanyl for sale and transporting it across county lines. The drugs were concealed within raw meat, which officers sliced open during the inspection.
