Anaheim, CA – A California retail theft ring operating across Orange and Los Angeles counties has been dismantled. Four suspects allegedly involved in 10 thefts were arrested after an investigation by the California Highway Patrol’s Organized Retail Crime Task Force (ORCTF).
On October 14, officers served multiple search warrants, recovering over $143,746 in stolen goods from addresses linked to the suspects. According to CHP officials, merchandise passed through locations in Anaheim and Bloomington. Investigators believe the suspects, referred to as “boosters,” were responsible for losses between August 24 and September 27.
Authorities say the suspects were arrested in Anaheim and booked into the Orange County Jail. The case is now with the Orange County District Attorney’s office. CHP officers are continuing efforts to combat organized retail crime throughout the state, targeting sophisticated theft groups impacting retailers.
