Indianapolis, IN – A 52-year-old man was arrested early Tuesday after allegedly leading police on a high-speed chase and ramming a patrol car, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD).
The incident began around 3 a.m. when an IMPD Southeast officer spotted a suspicious pickup truck outside a vacant rental property on Mi Casa Avenue. After failing to stop at a sign and fleeing at high speed, the suspect, identified as Robert Ross, was pursued by police. During the chase, Ross reportedly rammed a police vehicle, disabling it. Other officers eventually stopped the vehicle using a precision immobilization technique.
Ross was taken to a hospital with minor injuries before being arrested on charges of burglary, resisting law enforcement, and marijuana possession. The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office will determine the final charges.
