Braidwood, IL – Power lines across from City Hall remain energized and pose an active hazard, prompting continued closure of Main Street. This precaution is necessary to ensure public safety until the situation is fully resolved.

According to Braidwood ESDA, Com Ed wire watchers are on scene to monitor the hazardous lines, awaiting the arrival of remediation crews. The lines were reported as an ongoing risk at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Main Street between Lincoln Street and Center Street will stay closed until further notice to prevent any potential accidents.
