Bourbonnais, IL – St. George Road in Bourbonnais will close starting Monday, November 11, for Canadian National Railroad repairs. The closure will affect the segment between U.S. Route 45 (North Convent Street) and Illinois Route 50 (North Kinzie Avenue), allowing crews to upgrade the gated railroad crossing.

The Village of Bourbonnais announced that the closure is expected to last one week, with a planned reopening on Monday, November 18, weather permitting. Drivers should prepare to follow alternative routes during this period.

This temporary closure will enable essential repairs to enhance safety at the railroad crossing, which serves as a crucial transit point in the area. According to village officials, regular updates on the project’s status will be provided as work progresses.

Local residents and commuters should exercise caution and plan for potential delays. Updates will be shared by the Village of Bourbonnais on its official communication channels.
