Organizers for the Bourbonnais Friendship Festival announced Saturday afternoon the Festival committee has ceased efforts for a Fall Festival event and will instead, cancel the annual festival.
“After careful consideration the Bourbonnais Friendship Festival committee has decided to not reschedule the 2020 Bourbonnais Friendship Festival. The health and safety of our community is our top priority. We will put all of our time and efforts into making 2021 the best festival yet! Stay well, Bourbonnais! We will see you next year!” Organizers announced in a statement Saturday afternoon.
The event follows the cancellation of what would have been the 23rd annual Manteno Oktoberfest, normally scheduled for the end of September earlier this week.
