Boston, MA – Lowell will be the hottest spot in Massachusetts Tuesday, topping out at 80°F, but temperatures across the region are expected to slide steadily into the 60s by Thursday.
According to the National Weather Service in Boston, Tuesday marks the warmest day of the week across much of Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. A cooler air mass will settle in midweek, with high temperatures dipping into the mid to upper 60s by Thursday—especially along the coast and Cape Cod.
Boston and Worcester will hover near 77°F Tuesday before dropping to the upper 60s by Thursday. Hyannis and Nantucket, however, will remain on the cooler side all week, never climbing above 69°F. Hartford and Springfield will flirt with 78°F Tuesday before cooling into the 60s midweek.
While no major weather hazards are forecast, residents should prepare for cooler mornings and consider layering, especially on Thursday and Friday. Coastal breezes could also make temperatures feel even cooler in areas like Gloucester and Newport.
Pleasant conditions are expected to return this weekend, with highs bouncing back into the low 70s. Another update will be issued if patterns shift or new advisories are posted.
