Boston, MA – A Boston man faces multiple felony charges after allegedly ramming a Massachusetts State Police cruiser and fleeing on foot.

Keion Rowell, 44, was apprehended Monday in Randolph following a multi-agency effort involving State Police, Randolph Police, and U.S. Marshals. Authorities say the incident began Friday night when officers deployed Star Chase technology to track a vehicle that refused to stop near Boston’s Thwing Street.

According to police, Rowell struck the cruiser several times before fleeing. A subsequent search uncovered trafficking-weight narcotics in his abandoned vehicle. Local and federal law enforcement collaborated to locate Rowell days later.

Rowell now faces charges including trafficking cocaine, assault with a dangerous weapon, reckless driving, and fleeing the scene of a crash. Police noted his license was suspended at the time of the incident.

Star Chase technology, currently in pilot testing, helps officers safely track fleeing vehicles without high-speed chases. Police emphasized their commitment to balancing public safety with pursuit strategies.

The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities encourage anyone with further information to contact State Police.
