Caledonia, MI – A daring car theft at Comodo Motors in Caledonia sparked a high-speed, multi-county police chase early Monday morning.
According to the Kent County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a break-in just before 2 a.m. after the dealership’s surveillance system caught five suspects stealing luxury vehicles. Stolen cars included a Dodge Challenger, Chevrolet Corvette, and Ram 1500 TRX.
Deputies pursued the stolen cars northbound on M-6, successfully deploying stop sticks near Broadmoor Avenue. This disabled a Dodge Challenger, but the suspects switched vehicles, reaching speeds of 100 mph.
The chase extended into Ionia County, where police arrested a 19-year-old Detroit woman driving a Ram truck. Authorities also recovered the stolen Corvette in Livingston County.
No injuries were reported. The Kent County Sheriff’s Office praised the cooperation of neighboring agencies in apprehending suspects.
