Boston, Massachusetts – Light rain and low clouds will continue through the morning hours, creating slick roads and reduced visibility for drivers across southeast New England before conditions improve later today.

According to the National Weather Service in Boston, intermittent light rain will persist through late morning, especially across coastal Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Roads including I-93, I-95, and Route 3 may see brief slowdowns due to wet pavement and patchy visibility reductions before rain tapers off early this afternoon.

Cities such as Boston, Providence, New Bedford, and Hyannis will see the greatest impact through about noon, though rainfall amounts remain light with no flooding concerns. Skies will stay mostly cloudy through much of the day, with gradual clearing expected later in the afternoon.

Conditions improve significantly Monday as dry air moves in. Highs will range from the low 50s along the immediate coast to near 70 degrees inland, with a noticeable northeast breeze developing across Cape Cod and the Islands. Gusts could reach around 20 mph, particularly along exposed coastal roads and bridges.

Drivers should use caution during the morning hours and allow extra travel time on wet roads. Rain will exit by early afternoon, with no additional precipitation expected through Monday. Further updates are not expected unless rain lingers longer along the coast.
