Lebanon, IN – A Zionsville man has been sentenced to 40 years in prison after being convicted of child molesting and child solicitation in Boone County, officials announced Monday.
According to Boone County Prosecutor Kent Eastwood, Jeffrey L. Alexander, 52, was sentenced following his conviction on two counts of child molesting and one count of child solicitation. The sentence includes 30 years for the crimes and an additional 10-year enhancement as a repeat sexual offender.
The case began when a minor disclosed inappropriate contact at Alexander’s home, authorities said. The victim reported the incident to a parent, who immediately alerted law enforcement. Boone County Sheriff’s investigators led the inquiry, which resulted in charges filed earlier this year.
A three-day jury trial concluded July 24, 2025, with Alexander found guilty of all counts. Prosecutors also applied a repeat offender enhancement due to a prior 1993 conviction in Montgomery County for child molesting.
“This verdict represents justice for a courageous young survivor who came forward and told the truth,” Prosecutor Eastwood said in a statement. “Our community is safer today because of this young person’s bravery and the tireless work of our law enforcement partners.”
Alexander was officially sentenced September 9 in Boone County Superior Court II and will serve his term in the Indiana Department of Correction.
