Macomb County, MI – A Harrison Township man allegedly attempted to stop the repossession of his vehicle with a propane tank attached to it, the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office reported. Deputies were called to the 24000 block of Bradford earlier today after concerns about a suspicious setup involving an electrical cord and a propane tank.

The bomb squad responded to assess the situation. According to the Sheriff’s Office, an electrical cord was attached to one end of the propane tank, but it was not connected to anything on the other end. The squad determined there was no immediate threat to public safety.

Investigators say the man’s actions were aimed at preventing the vehicle’s repossession. The sheriff’s office has requested charges from the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, though specific charges have not yet been disclosed.

Authorities have confirmed there is no danger to the community, and no evacuations were required during the investigation. The situation has since been resolved, but the legal ramifications for the individual are still pending.
