Las Vegas, NV – A powerful winter storm is set to impact parts of Nevada and California beginning late Tuesday, bringing heavy snowfall, strong winds, and blizzard conditions through Thursday evening.
According to the National Weather Service in Las Vegas, areas above 5,500 feet in Esmeralda, Central Nye, and Lincoln counties in Nevada could see 4 to 8 inches of snow, with gusts up to 50 mph. The Eastern Sierra Slopes in California may receive 1 to 2 feet of snow above 8,000 feet, with 60 mph wind gusts creating whiteout conditions.
