Southern Oregon and Northern California Brace for Winter Storm Wednesday

Medford, OR – A winter storm is set to impact southern Oregon and northern California from early Wednesday through Thursday morning, bringing snow and strong winds to the region.

According to the National Weather Service, a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 5 a.m. Wednesday to 5 a.m. Thursday for the southern Oregon Cascades, Siskiyou Mountains, Modoc County, and parts of Klamath and Lake counties. Snowfall between 2 and 9 inches is expected, with wind gusts up to 50 mph.

Hazardous road conditions may disrupt the Wednesday morning and evening commutes, and strong winds could down tree branches. Travelers are advised to drive cautiously and check road conditions before heading out.
